For Agencies & Founders
AI labs are paying real money to license production codebases they can learn from — non‑exclusively, without touching what you're already shipping. If you've got code sitting idle in a repo, that's revenue you're leaving on the table.
See If Your Code QualifiesFree to check. No commitment. You keep full ownership either way.
What Is Code Licensing?
AI companies need large volumes of high-quality, real-world source code to train the next generation of coding models. Instead of scraping the open internet, the serious labs are now paying directly for it — licensing production codebases from the agencies and developers who actually built them.
Here's the part most people don't expect: it's non‑exclusive. You're not selling your code or handing over ownership — you're licensing usage rights for training purposes while continuing to use, sell, and ship that same code exactly as before. Nothing changes for you or your clients. You just get paid for something that was otherwise sitting there doing nothing.
Why Now
Since AI coding assistants went mainstream, more and more new code is AI-assisted rather than purely human-written — which makes older, pre‑AI codebases genuinely valuable for training. If your code predates widespread Copilot/ChatGPT adoption (roughly pre‑2022), it's worth even more.
Older code is worth more
Codebases written before AI coding tools were widespread are prized specifically because they're guaranteed human-written.
You keep full ownership
Licensing is non-exclusive. You never lose the right to use, sell, or license your own code again.
Passive, recurring upside
Payouts can recur as your code continues to be used — for work you already finished.
Who This Is For
Development Agencies
If you've delivered dozens of client projects or built internal tools over the years, there's a good chance you're sitting on a library of idle, production-quality code that qualifies.
Wound-Down Startups
If you built a product that didn't make it, the codebase doesn't have to just sit there. Shelved startup code is often exactly what training partners are looking for.
How It Works
Tell us about your code
Fill in the form below — language, roughly how old the codebase is, and how much of it there is.
We personally review it
Foureyes Solutions reviews every submission directly — no automated hand-off. We check age, language, quality, and whether it's genuinely human-written.
We walk you through the agreement
If your code qualifies, we personally guide you through the non‑exclusive licensing agreement — you keep full ownership and every right you already had.
Get paid
Payouts can continue on a recurring basis as your code stays in use — for work you already completed.
FAQ
No. Licensing is strictly non-exclusive. You keep full ownership and can keep using, selling, or licensing your code exactly as you do today. You're only granting a separate right for the code to be used as AI training data.
Production-quality, human-written code — client projects, internal tools, or shelved startup products all qualify. Older code (roughly pre-2022, before AI coding assistants were widespread) tends to be the most valuable, since it's guaranteed to be human-written rather than AI-assisted.
Only if you retained the rights to do so in your original client agreement, or the client has since given permission. We check this with you directly as part of the review — nothing gets submitted without it being genuinely yours to license.
It depends on the volume, language, age, and quality of the code — there's no flat rate we can quote up front. We'll give you a real, specific number after reviewing what you submit, before you commit to anything.
